The 08075062 Series 32V 250A Waterproof Bi-Stable Magnetic Battery Disconnect Switch is a single-pole, single-throw (SPST) current isolating switch designed for use in commercial vehicles, including heavy trucks, construction equipment, and more. Thanks to its waterproof IP67/X9K rating, this series is also suited for use as a marine battery disconnect switch.
While traditional current isolating switches require a minimum current when they are turned on, models with "magnetic ON-OFF position" absorb current only during the commuting phase or when switched from (OFF) to (ON) and vice versa. Generally referred to as "bi-stable with zero consumption," their switches turn to closed or open state of the electric circuit.
The 08075062 Series automotive battery disconnect switch is available in various configurations. Models are available with positive and negative disconnection, positive or negative disconnection (watchdog), or positive only disconnection. This series also includes a version that is designed for ADR-equipped vehicles as well as models with a time delay and models with a 2A auxiliary contact.
- Continuous current rating of 250 A, intermittent current rating of 1 kA at 30 s, and maximum short circuit rating of 2 kA at 5 s
